2021 Fall Twirler Announcements - University of Texas, San Antonio

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. Today we are announcing the 2021-22 University of Texas - San Antonio Twirlers!


The University of Texas - San Antonio, also known as UTSA, is located in San Antonio, TX, and is the home of the "Spirit of San Antonio" - the Roadrunner Marching Band. Annually, the SOSA Auxiliary, coordinated by sponsor Mary Ann Srulowitz Pozzi, selects 1-3 twirlers serve in their feature positions, however, for Fall 2021, the SOSA program has added a twirling line in addition to the Feature Twirler positions. Auditions were held last month selecting two Feature Twirlers four Line Twirlers. 

Returning to the Alamadome this season will be Feature Twirlers Alexis Tanner & Hannah Kacher! 


Alexis Tanner is from Corpus Christi, Texas, and is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes where she is coached by Patti Mickey & Kayli Mickey McIntosh. Alexis is the current 2021 Southwest Regional Collegiate Downfield Champion. This will be Alexis' fourth season and her Senior year. 


Hannah Kacher is from San Antonio, Texas, and is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations where she is coached by Mary Ann Pozzi and Michele Pangrac. This will be Hannah's third season. 


Joining the Feature Twirlers on the field will be the new UTSA Twirling Line! This Line includes four twirlers that will be working together to entertain and share twirling with the Roadrunner Fans. 

Stephanie Garza is from Corpus Christi, Texas, and is a member of the Texas Stingerettes where she is coached by Keely Davis and Kim Berger. She was previously a Feature Twirler at Flour Bluff High School. 


Christan Patterson is from Lindale, Texas, and is coached by Abby Rhodes. She was previously a member of the Lindale High School Twirling Line and a Feature Twirler at Trinity Valley Community College. 


Madalyn Brown is from New Braunfels, Texas. She is a member of the Alamo City Strutters where she is coached by Pat Montgomery. She is graduating this Spring from Canyon High School where she was the Feature Twirler. 


Baylee Brandin is from Groves, Texas. She is a member of the Inside Out Twirling Studio and is coached by Erica Osgood Mitchell. She was previously a twirler for the Port Neches-Groves High School
