#TeamTexas AYOP 2017 - Texas Tech Twirlers & BT Performers

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

Did you know... The All Texas Twirler photo op will be on MONDAY, July 24th at 5:00 pm in the lobby of the Joyce Center at the double staircases. We will start the set-up for the first pic around 4:45 pm. We will be taking pictures with three different set-ups, so even if you are running a bit late, still come so we can get you in one of the set-ups. We do ask that everyone please have your red #TeamTexas shirt on, or a red shirt if you didn't get one. You will also wear this shirt on Friday, so we do recommend just wearing it for the picture unless you have access to a clothes washer. We can't wait to show what Texas pride looks like when it is in full force!

Speaking of Texas Pride... our twirlers today are some of our more northern Texas Twirlers and they sure know how to rock the Red & Black! The Texas Tech University Twirlers have been a twirling staple in Texas for decades. We love seeing them every year competing at AYOP in the Collegiate Team category and representing us in their respective Pageant events.

The Texas Tech Twirlers are coaches by Bethany Tolley, who is also the Coach for the BT Performers. Bethany will be sending six twirlers to Nationals this year. Three of these twirlers will be competing in the National Pageant, and the Texas Tech University Twirlers will be competing in Dance Twirl, Collegiate Half Time, and the new Pride & Traditions Pre-Game event.

#TeamTexas AYOP 2017 - Collegiate Twirlers

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

Did you know... if you ordered one of the awesome #TeamTexas shirts, make sure to wear them on Friday, July 28th. This is the day we will come together and show the rest of the Nation how strong Texas is, and how many of us there are. It will be so cool to see all 170 shirts walking around the facility! This is also the day of the Collegiate events, so it will go a long way to show our Collegian twirlers that #TeamTexas is here for them and cheering them on!

We are officially less than a week away from AYOP being in full swing. Since we are talking about supporting our Collegiate Twirlers, we want to make sure we recognize them so we know who to cheer for, and what to cheer! We want to hear ALL of #TeamTexas rooting for ALL our Texas Collegiate twirlers! Have a teammate twirling for a University? Great! Cheer them on! Don't know that twirler from that other University from Texas? That's fine! Cheer anyway.

When it comes to cheering for our Collegians that Friday night, lets remember that this isn't the Texas vs Tech game, and we don'y take sides... This is AYOP and #TeamTexas supports our own!
