#TexasTexas AYOP 2017 - Twirling Sweet Sensations

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

Can you believe in less than two weeks we will all be staring at that big blue curtain and seeing our favorite twirlers compete at AYOP? It is like Christmas for baton twirlers!

We are super psyched to announce that there were 170 #TeamTexas shirts ordered. Wow! It will be see amazing to see those 170 shirts walking around the Joyce Center on Friday, July 28th. If you ordered one, please make sure to wear it the Friday of AYOP! Lets show the rest of the State how much Texas supports all of our twirlers, especially our Collegians competing that night.

Now, continuing to meet all these amazing Texas twirlers, we travel to a little north of San Antonio to meet the three young ladies from the Twirling Sweet Sensations that will be attending AYOP.

The Twirling Sweet Sensations, coached by Michele Sweet Pangrac and Mary Ann Srulowitz, are a great group from Schertz that is doing a lot to grow our sport in South Central Texas. This year they will be sending three students: Julie Griffee, Bethany Williams, and Bailey Williams. Julie & Bailey will be representing Texas as their respective State pageant winners. This is a really big deal for these twirlers, especially Julie who had to overcome some major hurdles this yearz They all walked in to the State competition with amazing determination and saw their hard work pay off.

Julie Griffee
*2017 Beginner Senior Texas State Pageant Winner
*2017-18 UT-San Antonio Feature Twirler

Bailey Williams
*2017 Beginner Juvenile Texas State Pageant Winner

Bethany Williams
*3rd Runner Up Pre-Teen Intermediate State Pageant

We are so proud of these three ladies and everything they have accomplished this year. We know they will do a great job at AYOP. Good luck ladies!

We hope you have enjoyed this blog post. We are always looking for great new stories about Texas twirlers. Do you have an idea or some information we could use to help highlight our sport? Contact us at texastwirlcontact@gmail.com and we would love to hear more about it.
