2021 Fall Twirler Announcements - Baylor University

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2021-22, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!

Today we announce the selection of the 2021-22 Baylor University Golden Girl Feature Twirlers!

The Baylor Golden Girls, lead by Coordinator Lynn Dell Harrell, are coveted twirling spots in the twirling community, and have been held by some very talented twirlers. We are super excited to see that this Fall season will be no different! Returning this season will be veteran Golden Girls, Mallory Remm and Danielle Skinner, and joining them on the field will be newcomers Mallory Reynier and Josie D'Acquisto!

We are very happy that we will see Mallory Remm and Danielle Skinner back at McLane Stadium this Fall. While their first season as Golden Girls was anything but normal, we enjoyed seeing their 'smizing' faces behind the masks as they performed for their Bears every chance they got.

Mallory Reem is from Sussex, Wisconsin where she is a member of the Revolutions Twirling Club, and is studying Communication Sciences & Disorders. Danielle Skinner is from Saskatchewan, Canada, and is coached by Maureen Johnson. She is studying Journalism and Pre-Law.

New to the Golden Girl team this Fall is Mallory Reynier. Mallory is from Fairhope, Alabama, where she was the twirler at Fairhope High School for all four years she attended. She is coached by Stacey Forbess and Jackie Stewart. She is a multi time Alabama State & South Regional NBTA Title Holder as well as a Regional & National Title Holder in USTA. We asked Mallory what interested her in Baylor, and she told us, "The community of togetherness and dedication to its students and athletics really drew me toward the University!" She also told us that she is "so excited to move into a foreign state and start 13th grade surrounded by awesome people and places at BU!"

Also rocking the Green & Gold this Fall will be Rookie Golden Girl Josie D'Acquisto. Josie is from Redding, California, where she twirled for the girl's basketball games at her High School. She is a member of the Revolution Edge Twirl Team and is coached by Kelli Perelman. She holds several titles but the one she is the best know for is earning a Bonze Medal in Junior A Artistic Twirl at the International Cup. Josie will be joining the engineering program at Baylor, which in additional to the amazing twirling opportunities, is what interested her in coming to Texas. We asked what she is most excited about and she said she can't wait to "twirl alongside some amazing twirlers and be a part of #TeamTexas!"

What an amazing group of twirlers to be together on the same field. Makes you want to break out your green and gold and yell "Sic Em Bears!" We want to give a big welcome to Mallory & Josie and a congrats to Mallory & Danielle. We wish you all a wonderful football season!
