2023 Southwest Regional Pageant Winners - Intermediate Pageant

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

To celebrate our new Regional title holders, over the next few weeks, we will be recognizing our Regional Winners here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at Regionals. 

Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Southwest Regional Intermediate Pageant Winners!

Katy McClain

Senior Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Katy is from New Braunfels, Texas. She is coached by Tori Mays Elyea. Her favorite memory from Regionals was hearing her name called as the Senior Intermediate winner for the second year in a row. For Nationals this summer, she is most looking forward to seeing her out of state friends, and of course, getting an AYOP pretzel! 

Sydney Eshelman

Junior Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Sydney is from Owasso, Oklahoma, where this coming Fall, she will be the first twirler for her High School since 2011! She is a member of the Hartland Twirlers and is coached by Shawna Hart. Her favorite memory from Regionals was being surprised when her name was called as the pageant winner for her division. "I felt all the girls in my group were amazing and deserving, so I was honored!"

Violet Stephenson

Pre-Teen Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Violet is from The Woodlands, Texas, and hopes to be able to twirl for her school next year. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Kayli Mickey-McIntosh and Patti Mickey. Her favorite memory from Regionals was spending time with her teammates after they were done competing and being able to cheer each other on and support each other. 

Avielle Queen

Juvenile Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Avielle is from Alleyton, Texas, where she twirls for the St. Phillip Catholic School. She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached by Ashley Wood, as well as Whitney Coons & Kaylee Williams. Her favorite memory from Regionals was watching her littlest teammate, Clara, because "she was so cute!" She is looking forward to attending AYOP for the first time this summer and can't wait to make new friends from all over the country!
