2021 Fall Twirler Announcements - Texas Tech University

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2021-22, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!

Today we announce the selection of the 2021-22 Texas Tech University Twirlers!

Texas Tech, located in Lubbock, TX, is well known for their National Champion Twirlers. Led by Coach Bethany Tolley, the Texas Tech Twirlers performs at football games, school events, and compete on the National level. Auditions for the Fall twirling line were held last weekend in Lubbock and they selected seven twirlers for the Texas Tech Twirling Line and two Feature Twirlers.

New to the field for the 2021-22 Season will be Texas Tech Feature Twirler, Kirby Stanek! Kirby is from Lubbock, Texas, where she has been the Feature Twirler at Lubbock Coronado High School, and is coached by Bethany Tolley. Being a Feature Twirler for Texas Tech has been a dream of Kirby's since she was five years old, and we are all so excited to see her live that dream in Jones Stadium this Fall.

Returning to the field this Fall for her fourth season will be Texas Tech Feature Twirler, Abby Morgan! Abby is from Gonzales, Texas, and is the 2019 and 2020 Collegiate Miss Majorette of the Southwest. She is also a member of the ZTA sorority and an active member of student government at TTU.

A fun fact is that Abby and Kirby are duet partners, and are the 2019 National Intermediate 31+ Duet Winners! It will be amazing to see such a fantastic duo representing the Red Raiders together.

This Fall, Tech is excited to announce they have extended offers to 4 returning Twirlers, and 3 new twirlers. Returning this season will be Chailie Alsaffar, Emma Zuar, Anna Hughes & Morgyn Hendon.

Joining the team this year will be newcomers Laney Whitefield, Audrey Hartley, and Caitlin Woolley.

  • Laney is from Glen Rose, TX, where she is the Feature Twirler, and coached by Vicki Ray
  • Audrey is from Chapel Hill, TX, where she is a CHHS Twirler, and coached by Beth Maddox
  • Caitlin is from Lindale, TX, where is a Lindale High School Twirler Alum

Congrats ladies on being a part of another year of this awesome twirling institution. We know it is going to be a great season and we cannot wait to see you all perform together. Guns Up! Wreck Em Tech!
