2019 Fall Twirler Announcements - University of Houston

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2019-20, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!

Today's post announces the selections of the 2019-00 University of Houston Feature Twirlers!

The U of H Feature Twirlers, lead by Coach Jennifer Garrison, are "an elite Team of Baton Twirling Soloists who are integral contributors to the entertainment value of the Spirit of Houston Marching Band". These ladies can be seen rocking it on the field at the TDECU Stadium in Houston.

Kicking off her fourth and final season with the Coogs is Senior Jassandra Holbert. From Vista, California, she is a Communications Major that will be graduating with her BA in May 2020.

Returning for her third season as a UH Feature Twirler is Abby Neuman. This psychology major is from Cibolo, Texas (outside of San Antonio), and will be starting her junior year this fall.

New to the TDECU field this fall is incoming freshman McKenzie Gomez. She is graduating this spring from Round Rock High School, where she was also a feature twirler, and will be majoring in Exercise Science.

Welcome back Jassandra and Abby, and Congrats to newcomer McKenzie. We know you will be a great group together on the field and will make the scarlet and silver look good!
