2019 Fall Twirler Announcements - Texas Tech University

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. Today's post announces the selection of the 2019-00 Texas Tech Twirlers!


Texas Tech, located in Lubbock, TX, is well known for their National Champion twirling line. Lead by Coach Bethany Tolley, the Texas Tech Twirling Line performs at football games, school events, and competes on the National level. Auditions for the Fall twirling line were held April 13th, and a team of six amazing line twirlers were selected to join their Feature Twirler.

Texas Tech is excited to announce a great selection of high level twirlers for the 2019-00 Texas Tech University Twirling Line. Between these six twirlers, they hold a hole slew of twirling titles on the State, Regional, and National level, raising the bar for the future of the Texas Tech twirling line.

This coming Fall, the 2019-00 Texas Tech Twirling Line includes...


Returning Twirlers:
  • Head Twirler & Senior Emily Smith from Austin, TX
  • Senior Kimberly Davis from Lufkin, TX
Incoming Freshman:
  • Holly Glasgow from Lubbock, TX
  • Chailie Alsaffar from Dallas, TX
  • Emma Zuar from Fort Worth, TX
  • Anna Hughes from Nederland, TX
Also returning for the 2019-00 Season will be Feature Twirler will be Abby Morgan. Abby is from Gonzales, Texas, and was recently named the 2019 Collegiate Miss Majorette of the Southwest, bringing the biggest title in the region home to Raiderland.

Congrats ladies on being a part of another year of this awesome twirling institution. We know it is going to be a great year and we cannot wait to see you all perform at AYOP in July representing what a Texas university can look like. Guns Up Ladies! Wreck Em!
