2024 Texas State Pageant Winners - Advanced Pageant

Hello Texas Twirl Fans! 

Can you believe it has already been a month since the 2024 Competition Season wrapped up with the National Baton Twirling Championship! Our Texas Twirlers did an amazing job in South Bend, and we want to make sure before football season kicks off and our focus moves to those stadium lights, that we take a moment to celebrate our State Pageant Winners.

Today we wrap up our celebration of our Texas State Pageant title holders, with our final recognition post. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State! Go #TeamTexas!

Today we will be recognizing the 2024 Texas State Miss Majorettes!





College Miss Majorette of Texas


Aidyn Mentry
University of Texas

Aidyn currently lives in Austin, TX, where she is the Feature Twirler at the University of Texas! She is coached by Whitney Coons from Twirl ATX, where she is also a junior coach. Her favorite memory from State was being able to represent her Longhorns by bringing home the title of College Miss Majorette of Texas. At Nationals, she enjoyed seeing her friends from all across the country and being awarded first place in the College Miss Majorette of America modeling.

Jaidyn Poole

Jaidyn is from Katy, TX, where she was the Feature Twirler at Seven Lakes High School, but this Fall she is now in Stillwater, OK, and performing as a new Oklahoma State University Feature Twirler. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Kayli Mickey-McIntosh & Patti Mickey. Her favorite memory from State was getting to represent OSU for the first time and catching up with twirling friends. At Nationals, she enjoyed competing in her first college night! 




Junior Miss Majorette of Texas


Breckyn Steele

Breckyn is from Dallas, TX, where she is the Feature Twirler at Lake Highlands High School. She is a member of the Texas Touch of Class and is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky. Her favorite memories from State were winning her advanced x-strut and seeing her mom and dad after she won Jr. MMoTX. At Nationals, Breckyn enjoyed the pretzels!!! But also getting to make memories with her teammates and hug all her friends from other states. 




Pre-Teen Miss Majorette of Texas


Hailey Wood

Hailey is from Cedar Park, Texas, where she is the Feature Twirler at Henry Middle School. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Kayli Mickey-McIntosh, Tori Mays Elyea, & Patti Mickey for individual events, and is a member of Twirl ATX for teams. Her favorite memory from State was getting to put her best strut of the season on the floor for the pageant. At Nationals, Hailey enjoyed getting to participate in all her favorite team traditions, as well as earning a place in the Pre-Teen National Majorette Top Six and winning the National & World Open 19-24 Advanced Duet title with her bestie/duet partner, Lily.

2024 Texas State Pageant Winners - Intermediate Pageant

Hello Texas Twirl Fans! 

Can you believe it has already been a month since the 2024 Competition Season wrapped up with the National Baton Twirling Championship! Our Texas Twirlers did an amazing job in South Bend, and we want to make sure before football season kicks off and our focus moves to those stadium lights, that we take a moment to celebrate our State Pageant Winners.

To celebrate our Texas State Pageant title holders, over the next week, we will be recognizing them here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State! Go #TeamTexas! 

Today we will be recognizing the 2024 Texas State Intermediate Pageant Winners!





Senior Intermediate Pageant Winner 


Keely Ann Knesek

Keely lives in the country between Gonzales, TX, and Shiner, TX, and is the Feature Twirler at Shiner High School. Her favorite memory from State was the moment she walked off the floor after her pageant strut feeling like it was the best strut she had ever done. At Nationals, Keely enjoyed getting to watch College Night because she hopes to be competing in it next year. She also loved getting to represent Texas in the Intermediate Senior pageant.




Junior Intermediate Pageant Winner 


Evelyn Henry

Evelyn is from Dallas, Texas, where she is a Feature Twirler for Woodrow Wilson High School. She is a member of the Texas Touch of Class and is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky. Her favorite memory from State was performing a trio for the first time with two of her best friends, and the surprise of winning their division afterward. At Nationals, Evelyn enjoyed experiencing Nationals with her friends as well as meeting new twirling friends from around the country.




Pre-Teen Intermediate Pageant Winner 


Payge Carroll

Payge lived in San Antonio, TX, but this summer after State her family moved to Arizona. She is a member of the Legends and is coached by Liane Aramaki. Her favorite memories from State were performing her pageant solo and only having one drop, and then being able to compete in the advanced finals for the first time the next day. At Nationals, Payge enjoyed competing in pageant and getting to see all of her twirling friends. 




Juvenile Intermediate Pageant Winner 


Elliana Carter

Elliana is from Converse, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations where she is coached by Michele Pangrac. Her favorite memory from State was seeing all her friends winning and doing amazing things. At Nationals, Elliana enjoyed being there with her friends and making several new friends along the way.

2024 Texas State Pageant Winners - Beginner Pageant

Our Texas Twirlers did an amazing job in South Bend, and we want to make sure before football season kicks off and our focus moves to those stadium lights, that we take a moment to celebrate our State Pageant Winners.

Today we will be recognizing the 2024 Texas State Beginner Pageant Winners!





Senior Beginner Pageant Winner 


Dannah Miller

Dannah is from Carthage, Texas, where she recently graduated from Carthage High School as Senior Class President. She is coached by Vicki Ray of the Vick's Chicks. Her favorite memory from State was "when so many people came together, including my coach, to provide me with jazz shoes and batons to perform with when I didn't have any equipment with me. I actually could not have gotten to this point with them, and I am beyond grateful!" Last month at Nationals, Dannah enjoyed spending time with and supporting her team, as well as learning from them.



Junior Beginner Pageant Winner 


Emily Bartek

Emily is from Goldthwaite, Texas, where she is the Feature Twirler. She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached by Ashley Wood as well as Whitney Coons & Kaylee Williams. Her favorite memory from State was getting to compete and make memories with her team. Sadly, due to a conflict with cross country camp, Emily was not able to attend Nationals, but was happy that she could pass down the Nationals pageant representation to her Twirl ATX teammate, Emma.



Pre-Teen Beginner Pageant Winner 


Candace Johnson

Candace is from Corpus Christi, Texas. In addition to being coached by Kristen Tate, she is also a member of the Heart of Texas Twirlers where she is coached by Mary Ann Pozzi. Her favorite memory from State was winning her pageant because "I worked so hard, and it was the best gift I could get from all of it!" At Nationals Candace had a great experience hanging out with her friends from all around the country, and of course, having many of the famous pretzels.

Jaina Rodriguez

Jaina is from Converse, TX. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac. Her favorite memory from State was performing a team routine in competition for the first time. At Nationals, Jaina enjoyed spending the week with her teammates and making new friends!



Little Miss Beginner Pageant Winner 


Kaitlyn Kondo

Kaitlyn is from Austin, Texas. She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached by Ashley Wood as well as Whitney Coons & Kaylee Williams. Her favorite memory from State was catching her two spin in front of the judges for the first time as a birthday present for her mom. At Nationals, Kaitlyn enjoyed being able to put one of her best routines of the season on the floor in front of the blue curtain.

2024 Texas State Pageant Winners - Basic Skills

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

Can you believe it has already been a month since the 2024 Competition Season wrapped up with the National Baton Twirling Championship! Our Texas Twirlers did an amazing job in South Bend, and we want to make sure before football season kicks off and our focus moves to those stadium lights, that we celebrate our State Pageant Winners and say thank you to our State director, Sheila Payne Rigelsky, and her team.

Today we will be recognizing the 2024 Texas State Basic Skills Pageant Winners!





Junior Basic Skills Pageant Winner 


Bella Mora

Bella is from Houston, TX, where she attends St. Anne's. She is coached by Sue Young of the Texas Twirlers. Her favorite memory from State was getting to hang out with her teammates!




Juvenile Basic Skills Pageant Winner & 
Pre-Teen Basic Skills Pageant Winner


Lillian Meek & Kayla Meek

There is something special about sisters being crowned together! Kayla (Pre-Teen) and Lillian (Juvenile) both twirled with the Twirling Sweet Sensations where they are coached by Michele Pangrac. The Meeks are a military family that was living in Cibolo but are now on the move again to Virginia! Their favorite memory from State was spending one last weekend with their friends and cheering each other on. Kayla also adds that she loved competing for the first time in team and duet.  They hope to continue twirling in Virginia and catch up with their Texas team in the future! 




Tiny Tot Basic Skills Pageant Winner 


Ivy Bernal

Ivy is from Corpus Christi, Texas, where she attends the Metro Elementary School of Design and is looking forward to being a Mascot Twirler for a local CCISD High School for the 2024-2025 school year. She is a member of the Texas Stingerettes and is coached by Kim Berger. Her favorite memory from State was the feeling of acceptance she personally felt as she realized her name was called among her family and peers to honorably accept this title. Ivy says that she believes with hard work, this is her first of many future titles she has her eye on.
