2025 Fall Twirler Announcements - Texas Tech University

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas and representing out of State. Today we announce the selection of the 2025-26 Texas Tech University Twirlers!

Texas Tech, located in Lubbock, TX, is well known for their National Champion Twirlers. Led by Coach Bethany Tolley, the Texas Tech Twirlers perform at football games, school events, and compete on the National level! Auditions for the Fall twirling line were this past weekend in Lubbock, and they selected eight twirlers for the Texas Tech Twirling Line and one Feature Twirler.

Premiering in the 2025-26 Season will be the new Texas Tech Feature Twirler, Anna Lilie! Anna is from Austin, Texas, where she was the Feature Twirler at Austin High School before spending last season as a member of the Texas Tech line. She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached by Whitney Coons with support from Aidyn Mentry, Josie Linson, and Ashley Wood. Being the Feature Twirler for Texas Tech has been a dream for Anna ever since she first touched a baton, and we are all so excited to see her live that dream in Jones Stadium this Fall. 

In addition to naming a new Feature, TTU also named a new Head Twirler. Back for her Senior season, and ready to represent, is the 2025-26 Head Twirler, Sophie Carnes! 

In addition to Sophie, this season there are six more returning twirlers, including: Taryn Fojtik from Texas, Addison Lee from Texas, Kiana (Kiki) Schraufnagel from Wisconsin, Lauren Feltner from Nebraska, Kaelyn Wood from Oklahoma, & Sommer Wermes from Wisconsin

Finally, joining the team for the 2025-2026 Season will be the eighth member of the Twirling Line, incoming freshman, Careum Faughtenbery! Careum is from Stockdale, Texas.

Congrats ladies on being part of another year at this awesome twirling institution. We know it is going to be a great season, and we cannot wait to see you all perform together. Guns Up! Wreck Em Tech!
