2023 Texas State Pageant Winners - Intermediate Pageant

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

What an exciting summer for #TeamTexas! Between State, Nationals, and the IBTF events, we have all been going non-stop. Before we jump headfirst into field season, we wanted to take some time and celebrate our State pageant winners! Over the next few weeks, we will be recognizing them here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State this past June!

Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Texas State Intermediate Pageant Winners!

Elisabeth Kubena
Senior Intermediate Pageant Winner

Elisabeth is from Needville, Texas, where she is a twirler at Needville High School. She is a member of the Heart of Texas Twirlers and is coached by Sara Rudin and Mary Ann Pozzi, as well as Heather Holland. Her favorite memory from State was taking funny pictures with her friends, and at AYOP, she was most looking forward to meeting twirlers from other states.

Keira George
Junior Intermediate Pageant Winner

Keira is from Tatum, Texas, where she is a Feature Twirler for Tatum High School. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Patti Mickey & Kayli Mickey-McIntosh. Her favorite memory from State was getting to sit with all of her friends at awards!

Alexa Knotts
Pre-Teen Intermediate Pageant Winner

Alexa is from Cibolo, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations, and is coached by Michele Pangrac, Liana Aramaki, and Caroline Carothers-Reed. Her favorite memory from Regionals was spending time with her teammates after they were done competing and being able to cheer each other on and support each other. Her favorite memory from State was "spending time with all of my twirl friends from all over Texas because contests are when we get to see each other. My favorite part is always getting to cheer for all my friends during awards, and sharing in their joy at how well they did." For AYOP, she was most looking forward to seeing her friends who were going for the first time get to experience how wonderful and exciting AYOP is. She was also excited to try to "survive the blue curtain" for the first time.

Seanna Rigelsky
Juvenile Intermediate Pageant Winner

Seanna is from Dallas, Texas. She is a member of Texas Touch of Class, and is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky, as well as Catherine Lattimore. Her favorite memory from State was hearing her name called for Pageant. "I had just gotten out of a cast from a broken wrist the Tuesday before State. I never imagined I could win! I was so excited"! For AYOP, she was most looking forward to, obviously the pretzels, but also the chance to compete at nationals and see friends from all over the country.

CONGRATS TO ALL OUR STATE INTERMEDIATE PAGEANT WINNERS!
