Hello Texas Twirl Fans!
What an exciting summer for #TeamTexas! Between State, Nationals, and the IBTF events, we have all been going non-stop. Before we jump headfirst into field season, we wanted to take some time and celebrate our State pageant winners! Over the next few weeks, we will be recognizing them here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State this past June!
Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Texas State Basic Skills Pageant Winners!
Sawyer Roach
Senior Basic Skills Pageant Winner
Sawyer is from Salado, Texas, where she is the Feature Twirler for Salado High School. She is a member of the Central Texas Twirling Company (CTTC) and is coached by Debra Faulkner and Macy Wolf. Her favorite memory from State was watching all of the performances since it was her first state competition!
Adriana Munoz
Junior Basic Skills Pageant Winner
Adriana is from Jacksonville, Texas, where she is a Twirler at Jacksonville High School. She is coached by BreiAnn Gee with additional support from Patti Mickey & Kayli Mickey-McIntosh.
Jessica Franklin
Pre-Teen Basic Skills Pageant Winner
Jessica is from New Braunfels, Texas, where she will be twirling for Canyon Middle School this fall. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac. Her favorite memory from State was seeing and being with all her friends. She liked winning her title, too, but it was made special by being there with her teammates and friends supporting her.
Jaina Rodriguez
Juvenile Basic Skills Pageant Winner
Jaina is from Converse, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac and Liane Aramaki. Her favorite memory from State was getting to hang out with her teammates all weekend long.
