2023 Texas State Pageant Winners - Intermediate Pageant

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

What an exciting summer for #TeamTexas! Between State, Nationals, and the IBTF events, we have all been going non-stop. Before we jump headfirst into field season, we wanted to take some time and celebrate our State pageant winners! Over the next few weeks, we will be recognizing them here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State this past June!

Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Texas State Intermediate Pageant Winners!





Elisabeth Kubena
Senior Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Elisabeth is from Needville, Texas, where she is a twirler at Needville High School. She is a member of the Heart of Texas Twirlers and is coached by Sara Rudin and Mary Ann Pozzi, as well as Heather Holland. Her favorite memory from State was taking funny pictures with her friends, and at AYOP, she was most looking forward to meeting twirlers from other states.  


Keira George
Junior Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Keira is from Tatum, Texas, where she is a Feature Twirler for Tatum High School. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Patti Mickey & Kayli Mickey-McIntosh. Her favorite memory from State was getting to sit with all of her friends at awards!


Alexa Knotts
Pre-Teen Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Alexa is from Cibolo, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations, and is coached by Michele Pangrac, Liana Aramaki, and Caroline Carothers-Reed. Her favorite memory from Regionals was spending time with her teammates after they were done competing and being able to cheer each other on and support each other. Her favorite memory from State was "spending time with all of my twirl friends from all over Texas because contests are when we get to see each other. My favorite part is always getting to cheer for all my friends during awards, and sharing in their joy at how well they did." For AYOP, she was most looking forward to seeing her friends who were going for the first time get to experience how wonderful and exciting AYOP is. She was also excited to try to "survive the blue curtain" for the first time. 


Seanna Rigelsky
Juvenile Intermediate Pageant Winner 

Seanna is from Dallas, Texas. She is a member of Texas Touch of Class, and is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky, as well as Catherine Lattimore. Her favorite memory from State was hearing her name called for Pageant. "I had just gotten out of a cast from a broken wrist the Tuesday before State. I never imagined I could win! I was so excited"! For AYOP, she was most looking forward to, obviously the pretzels, but also the chance to compete at nationals and see friends from all over the country.

2023 Texas State Pageant Winners - Beginner Pageant

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

What an exciting summer for #TeamTexas! Between State, Nationals, and the IBTF events, we have all been going non-stop. Before we jump headfirst into field season, we wanted to take some time and celebrate our State pageant winners! Over the next few weeks, we will be recognizing them here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State this past June!

Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Texas State Beginner Pageant Winners!





Jeannie Pruett
Senior Beginner Pageant Winner 

Jeannie is from Cedar Park, Texas, but is currently attending Sam Houston State University, where she is a Feature Twirler. She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached Whitney Coons as well as Ashley Wood & Kaylee Williams in addition to working with Kelley McCormick for field twirling. Jeannie's favorite memory from State was watching her twirl little sis catch her first toss illusion on the floor in competition, and for AYOP, she was most excited to compete in Collegiate Downfield while meeting other collegiate twirlers. 


Nattie DeLeon
Junior Beginner Pageant Winner 

Nattie is from Cibolo, Texas, where she is a Feature Twirler for Byron P. Steele High School. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by MIchele Pangrac and Liane Aramaki. Her favorite memory from State was the award ceremony. "I loved just sitting with my teammates on our blankets and experiencing the anticipation while waiting to hear the results!" For AYOP, she was most excited to experience "everything, especially as a pageant winner for the first time!"

Joslyn Rodriguez
Pre-Teen Beginner Pageant Winner 

Joslyn is from San Antonio, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac. Her favorite memory from State was spending time with her team and supporting her friends. For AYOP, she was most excited about getting to meet new twirlers and being able to watch the collegiate twirlers. 


Evelyn Winter
Juvenile Beginner Pageant Winner 

Evelyn is from Fort Worth, Texas, and is coached by Vicki Ray and Tori Mays Elyea. Her favorite memory from State was having a no drop State solo and catching her four spin on the floor. For AYOP, she was most excited about the giant soft pretzels and seeing her friends from other states.

2023 Texas State Pageant Winners - Basic Skills

Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Texas State Basic Skills Pageant Winners!





Sawyer Roach
Senior Basic Skills Pageant Winner 

Sawyer is from Salado, Texas, where she is the Feature Twirler for Salado High School. She is a member of the Central Texas Twirling Company (CTTC) and is coached by Debra Faulkner and Macy Wolf. Her favorite memory from State was watching all of the performances since it was her first state competition!


Adriana Munoz
Junior Basic Skills Pageant Winner 

Adriana is from Jacksonville, Texas, where she is a Twirler at Jacksonville High School. She is coached by BreiAnn Gee with additional support from Patti Mickey & Kayli Mickey-McIntosh.


Jessica Franklin
Pre-Teen Basic Skills Pageant Winner 

Jessica is from New Braunfels, Texas, where she will be twirling for Canyon Middle School this fall. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac. Her favorite memory from State was seeing and being with all her friends. She liked winning her title, too, but it was made special by being there with her teammates and friends supporting her.


Jaina Rodriguez
Juvenile Basic Skills Pageant Winner 

Jaina is from Converse, Texas. She is a member of the Twirling Sweet Sensations and is coached by Michele Pangrac and Liane Aramaki. Her favorite memory from State was getting to hang out with her teammates all weekend long.


Catherine Rozelle
Little Miss Basic Skills Pageant Winner 

Catherine is from San Antonio, Texas, and is coached by Pat Montgomery. Her favorite memory from State was when she caught her one spin for the first time and won her pageant!
