2023 Texas State Pageant Winners - Advanced Pageant

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

To celebrate the start of a new season, over the past few weeks, we have been recognizing our new State Title Winners here on the blog. Congrats to all of these talented twirlers on their success at State this past June. Now, to wrap up the series, we introduce your Advanced title holders!


Today we will be recognizing the 2023 Miss Majorettes of Texas!




KK Tunnell
College Miss Majorette of Texas

KK is from Rockwall, Texas, and is a Feature Twirler for Texas Christian University. She is a member if the Texas Touch of Class and is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky. Her favorite memory from State was getting to do her Show Twirl to 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia'. "It was special because my coach did it when she competed, then my teammate Erica did it, and it got passed along to me!" For AYOP she was most excited to compete in the college events and cheer on the other college twirlers. 


Amber Sorenson
Senior Miss Majorette of Texas

Amber is from Round Rock, Texas, and this fall she is performing as the newest Feature Twirler for North Carolina State University She is a member of Twirl ATX and is coached by Ashley Wood as well as Whitney Coons & Kaylee Williams. She was also a 3-year member of the USTA National Champion Forte Dance Twirl Artistic Group out of Atlanta, Georgia. Amber's favorite memory from State was competing and hanging out with her teammates. "Also, it was such an honor receiving the Shirley Payne memorial trophy for the second year in a row!"


Jacie Conway
Junior Miss Majorette of Texas

Jacie is from Spring, Texas, where she is the new Feature Twirler for The Woodlands College Park High School. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Kayli Mickey-McIntosh & Patti Mickey. Jacie's favorite memory from State was getting to hang out with all of her friends and teammates all weekend. For AYOP she always looks forward to getting to put the routines on the floor that have been worked on all year long!


Lily Easterwood
Pre-Teen Miss Majorette of Texas

Lily is from Spring, Texas, and this fall will be the Feature Twirler at York Junior High. She is a member of the Mickey's Majorettes and is coached by Kayli Mickey-McIntosh & Patti Mickey. Her favorite memory from State was hearing her name called as the 2023 Pre-Teen Miss Majorette of Texas, and for AYOP, she was most looking forward to being able to twirl in front of the blue curtain again.
