2020 Fall Twirler Announcements - San Diego State University

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2020-21, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!

Today we announce one of the 2020-21 San Diego State University Twirlers!

San Diego State University, also known as SDSU, is located in San Diego, California, and is the home of the Fighting Aztecs. Lead by Coach, and Former College Miss Majorette of America, Catherine Watters, SDSU has been building their reputation as a great place for college twirlers.

This year, the SDSU Twirlers will include Texas girl, Tatiana Guillen!

Tatiana is from San Antonio, TX, and is currently a student at Antonian College Preparatory, where she is a Feature Twirler. She is coached by Pat Montgomery of the Alamo City Strutters. At SDSU, Tatiana will be majoring in Marine Biology. She will be joined on the field by co-twirler, Keili.

How does this Texas Twirler feel about going all the way to California? "I’m excited to be moving out of state and to experience new things and to meet new people, but I’m also nervous to be leaving home.” We can imagine that is a huge change, but we know with Coach Catherine, she will have plenty of support!

We all want to wish a huge congrats to Tatiana as she represents in San Diego! Go Aztecs!
