It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas, and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2020-21, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!
We are excited to announce the new Keiser University Feature Twirler, Jennifer Kotzur!
Keiser University, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, was founded in 1977 with the Flagship Campus opening and merging with Northwood University in 2005, resulting in the Keiser University Seahawks! Purity, Truth, and Wisdom prevails as Navy Blue and Sky Blue waves ever true.
This Fall, Jenn (Jennifer) Kotzur of Stockdale, Texas will take her place as Keiser's third ever feature twirler! She is the student of Amber Rhyne Hanel and Whitney King Coons. She is also the reigning Miss World’s Perfect Twirler and 2020 Miss Texas Perfect Twirler Superhero, and she will be representing Texas (virtually) at the World’s Perfect Athlete 2020 this Summer.
Previously, Jenn was the first “Island Girl” Islander Feature Twirler for Texas A & M-Corpus Christi (2006-11) earning her BA in Social Studies Education. She then continued her education and collegiate twirling at Howard Payne University (2011-2015), graduating in 2016 with a MA in Youth Ministry. Recently Jenn has been bringing baton twirling to the entertainment world as a performing baton twirler for Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Morgan's Wonderland, both in San Antonio.
At Keiser University, Jenn will be pursuing her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction and will have the very unique opportunity with Keiser Athletics as the Team Manager (graduate assistant) and Twirler to the National Champion Keiser University Seahawk Spirit Squads, alongside award-winning coach, Laura Pucker! Jennifer is excited to follow her dreams educationally and athletically. As she tells us, "This all comes as an unexpected blessing and a reminder to all... don’t stop believing!"
Congrats Jenn! We wish you the best of luck at Keiser. We know you will share a little sparkle and Texan hospitality with all you meet in Florida. Go Keiser University Seahawks!
