2020 Fall Twirler Announcements - *Update* Baylor University

 Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are gearing up for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers that will be representing in Texas. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2020-21, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!

Today we announce an addition to the 2020-21 Baylor University Golden Girl Feature Twirlers!

The Baylor Golden Girls, lead by Coordinator Lynn Dell Harrell, are coveted twirling spots in the twirling community, as these positions have a history of being held by some of the area's best. We are super excited to see that this Fall season will be no different!

Today we get to welcome a new name on to the 2020-21 Golden Girls! Joining returning twirler, Jillian Taylor, and incoming twirler, Mallory Remm (check out the original Golden Girl announcement from May for more info on these twirlers), we have a new face coming to McLane Stadium...

Let's give a big Texas welcome to Danielle Skinner!

Danielle Skinner is a name you might have heard before, as she is an outstanding representative of our neighbors to the North. Yes.. Danielle is coming to Baylor from Saskatchewan, Canada!

In Canada, Danielle was coached by Maureen Johnson, and she was a member of the Canadian National team. Not only has she been named Canada's Overall Senior Athlete of the Year, she is also the 2020 Pan Pacific Elite Artistic Twirl Champion.

At Baylor, Danielle will be majoring in journalism and pre-law. She is very excited to start her journey in Waco this Fall. We asked her what made her come all the way to Texas, and she told us, "Not only is the campus amazing, but I have always wanted to be a Golden Girl!" We love seeing dream come true, especially when it brings awesome twirlers to the Lone Star State. Congrats Danielle!

What a fantastic group of twirlers to be together on the same field. Makes you want to break out your green and gold and yell "Sic Em Bears!" We wish you all a wonderful football season!

We hope you have enjoyed this blog post. We are always looking for great new stories about Texas twirlers. Do you have an idea or some information we could use to help highlight our sport? Contact us at texastwirlcontact@gmail.com and we would love to hear more about it.
