Hello Texas Twirl Fans!
It is that exciting time of year where twirlers are auditioning for twirling spots for the Fall. This blog hopes to help spread the excitement by announcing the selections for the lovely twirlers we will see on the field very soon in Texas and representing out of State. If you have an announcement for new twirler selections for 2022-23, please email texastwirlcontact@gmail.com so that we can help spread the word!
Today we are announcing the newest 2022-23 Iowa State University Feature Twirler!
Iowa State University, also known as ISU, is located in Ames, Iowa, and is the home of the Cyclones. ISU is also the biggest University in Iowa, and a member of the Big 12 Athletic Conference.
This Fall Iowa State University will also be the home of Texas Twirler Alexandra Kinney!
Alexandra (Lexi) Kinney is from Rockwall, Texas, where she is the Feature Twirler at Rockwall-Heath High School. She is 2022 Southwest Regional Senior Royalty, as well as a member of her High School's Varsity Cheer Team. Lexi is coached by Ashley Moss, and is a member of the Texas Touch of Class, which is coached by Sheila Payne Rigelsky, as well as having twirled with Angel Dunlap and Candy Kimble, with some assistance by Whitney Coons.
Lexi will be joined on the field by current Iowa State Feature Twirlers, Rachel Lasota and Grace Wood. These three will make a great trio on the field as they represent the Cyclones. Make sure to follow them this Fall by checking out @iowastatefeaturetwirlers on Instagram.
We all want to wish a huge congrats to Lexi as she represents Texas in Iowa! Go Cyclone Nation!
