#TeamTexas AYOP 2018 - Twirler Activities Guide

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

The best part about AYOP is seeing all of Team Texas come together and support each other! We love to see all the Texas community around the facility and cheering everytime TEXAS is announced.

Each year this blog (the Twirling is Catching TX Blog) and the NBTA Texas Twirlers FB page have collaborated to organize some Team Texas specific photo ops. This post is your guide to all the of the events for Team Texas at AYOP 2018! For all of these pictures, please look for Ashley Wood or Mary Ann Srulowitz for the organization and taking of the pictures.

Monday, July 23rd at 5:00 pm - All Team Texas Picture
All Texas Twirlers should be at the Joyce Center's Purcell Pavilion (the big front lobby with the large staircases) at 5:00 pm on Monday, July 23rd with their new 2018 blue Team Texas shirt. We will get all the Team Texas Twirlers, Coaches, AND Parents that have a Team Texas shirt in the big picture, and then we will take 1 or 2 additional pictures of just the twirlers on the stairwell/in the lobby.

Thursday, July 26th at 2:15 pm - TX/SW Beg/Int. Pageant Representative Picture
On the Thursday of AYOP before the Beginner/Intermediate Pageant Awards all of the Texas State & Southwest Regional Pageant Representatives will meet for a group picture. Please arrive 45 minutes before the award ceremony in costume with sash & tiara and hair/make-up done for the award ceremony. Twirlers are also welcome to hold their baton bouquets for this pic.

*Please Note* the time for this award ceremony was originally going to be at 2:00 pm in the Field House but has since been updated to being at 3:00 pm back in the arena. In case the times or location changes again, just know we will meet 45 minutes before the award ceremony begins. If the award ceremony is in the ARENA we will meet in the Purcell Pavilion (Joyce Center Lobby) and if it is in the FIELD HOUSE we will meet at Gate 3 in the Field House.

Friday, July 26th - WEAR YOUR TEAM TEXAS SHIRT!
To support all of our Texas Twirlers competing in Collegiate Night, we ask that all Texas Twirlers wear their Team Texas shirts all day on the FRIDAY of AYOP. It will be so cool to see a sea of light blue watching and cheering for TEXAS that evening! HUGE props to Pat Montgomery for getting the t-shirts ordered and SHOUT OUT to Amanda Tolley of https://freestyledesignco.com/ for doing the printing. Love that we have a Twirler involved in every part of getting these shirts made!
