2018 World Baton Twirling Day April 10th

Hello Texas Twirl Fans!

We are only 2 days away from the Spring Fling Twirling Festival and 9 days away from the South Texas Auxiliary Championship. With back to back contests, what could be a more perfect week for the 2018 World Baton Twirling Day!

On Tuesday, April 10th, 2018, Baton Twirlers from all over the world will be celebrating our sport with the 2nd Annual World Baton Twirling Day. The theme for 2018 is "Flashback" and the goal is to "bombard social media on Monday, April 10th with thousands of videos from around the world that feature all of us bringing awareness to the sport of Baton Twirling through a unified plan of action".

Make sure when making any post about World Baton Twirling Day that you use the hashtag #worldbatontwirlingday. Lets see if baton twirlers can get the hashtag trending that day!

Want more information on World Baton Twirling Day? Visit the information site at http://www.wbtf.org/content/2018-world-baton-twirling-day-april-10th. Another fun feature of World Baton Twirling Day is the annual routine. Each year a well known WBTF twirler creates a universal routine for all twirlers to learn. Once you learn the routine, make a video of yourself, your twirl friends, or your family performing it and post it to social media.

Here is the World Baton Twirling Day Routine...

If you would like just the music to perform to, it can be found here -> https://soundcloud.com/user-802777059/world-baton-twirling-day-2018

Once you make a video of the routine, make sure to tag the Twirling is Catching TX Edition Blog Facebook Page or tag @twirlingiscatchingtx on Instagram and we will share your video!

We hope you have enjoyed today's post. We are always looking for great stories about Texas twirlers. Do you have an idea or some information we could use to help highlight our sport? Contact us at texastwirlcontact@gmail.com and we would love to hear more about it.
