Her favorite memory from state was hanging out with her Twirl ATX teammates, Hazel and Raylin, and getting to recreate a photo from the Texas State competition three years ago. This summer she is looking forward to attending her first AYOP and meeting all of the twirlers in her pageant category from different states.
Juvenile Beginner Pageant Winner
Sophia Shoemaker
Sophia is from Cypress, TX, and she is coached by Kelley McCormick. Her favorite memory from State was when she only had two drops in my solo! "That’s the best I’ve ever done because I usually get at least five or more drops. I felt really proud of myself, even though I didn’t catch my biggest trick — my toss illusion. I know I’ll get it next time!" This summer at AYOP she is looking forward to just being able to attend. "This is my very first year going to AYOP, and I’m super excited! I can’t wait to make new friends from all over the country and watch some of the best twirlers in the nation. It’s going to be so much fun!"
